Phenoxy-imine based Mononuclear Zn(II) Compounds: Applications as Polymerization Catalysts

چکیده

The production of aliphatic polyesters (via ROP cyclic esters) and polycarbonates ROCOP CO2/epoxide) is an important synthetic pathway for the biodegradable biocompatible polymers. study focuses on catalytic activity selectivity phenoxy-imine based zinc compounds esters (rac-LA -CL) carbon dioxide CHO/PO. monoligated bisligated have same coordination number (four) but differed from each other in binding mode ligand to metal center (tridentate bidentate compounds) thus adopt different symmetry. For rac-LA, gave isotactic-enriched PLA while heterotactic-enriched PLA. epoxide/CO2, were obtained with a notable difference variation ligands attached center. In addition, correlation established between percentage carbonate linkage polycarbonate chain substituent phenolate core.
